Stuff That Doesn't Work #2

Everyone who watches College Football has an opinion about the Bowl Championship Series. Whether or not it's a good system isn't the issue. The problem is, the system doesn't work.

For example, my Ball State Cardinals went 12-0 last night defeating the Western Michigan Broncos and will end the regular season ranked in the BCS. Now, I'm not saying we deserve to go to the National Championship since our opponents weren't among the likes of say Alabama, Penn State, or even Michigan (whom we would have whipped the snot out of this year), but shouldn't there be a system in place so that we at least have a shot to do so?

Bottom line, whoever came up with the BCS system is fucking stupid. I don't care what changes necessarily, just as long as it's more fair for smaller teams who have remarkable seasons... like the Ball State Cardinals.

The BCS DOESN'T WORK!

Speaking of Ball State, I went to the game last night. All I can say is, "WOW."

Being in the midst of one of the best athletic seasons EVER for Ball State was something special. I wish I could have shared it with all my friends like back in the days when we could all go to the game and the worst thing we'd have to deal with was whether or not to go to our 9 o'clock class in the morning.

I don't think I'll be able to make it to the MAC Championship game in Detroit, but I sure do hope we get a good Bowl Game... because I'm DEFINITELY going to that game.

GO CARDS!!!
