Iron Man... best Marvel comic movie ever?

After seeing Iron Man on Thursday night at the special screening I can't help but wonder why all Superhero movies aren't that good! The movie's dialogue, pacing, action, and acting were wonderful. Unfortunately I didn't stay through the credits to see the epilogue. So I'll probably go see it again just because it was so cool.

So, for reasons of personal taste, here is my top 8 list of best modern (starting from 1998) Marvel Superhero Movies. (These are my personal choices, so don't get too defensive. Plus, if I haven't seen the movie, I'm not going to add it to the list)

1. Iron Man (2008): Robert Downey Junior OWNS in this flick.

2. Spider-Man (2002): Still great to watch the origin of Spidey. Plus Kirsten Dunst nipples.

3. Blade II (2002): I liked the first one, but the second seemed to have a lot more polish to it.

4. Spider-Man II (2004): A great sequel for Spidey... except I didn't think it was time for Peter and Mary Jane to get together just yet. Made the third movie worse.

5. Blade (1998): Good, but the second one was just plain better.

6. Daredevil (2003): Hear me out on this one. It's better than some of the other movies to be sure. And I'd still watch this over X-Men 3 any day.

7. Fantastic Four - Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007): Didn't seem as cheesy at the original.

8. X2 (2003): I always expected the X-Men movies to be great, but after watching they all seemed to let me down. X2 was the best of the bunch.

Now, why are there only 8 spots on my list? Because the rest DON'T DESERVE TO HAVE A SPOT!

-Hulk made me want to stangle Ang Lee.

-X-Men was cool but didn't seem to evoke the same emotions I got from watching the cartoon.

-X-Men 3 was... LAME! THEY KILLED CYCLOPS AND PROFESSOR X! BULLSHIT!

-Fantastic Four was cute but corny.

-Punisher could have been done better but still fairly enjoyable. It would have made the 9 spot if it had been... darker.

-Blade Trinity was an utter let down. Would've been the 10 spot but just lacked the awesomeness that Blade 2 had.

-Spider-Man 3 made me want to vomit. Who thought it would be a good idea to let Kirsten Dunst sing TWO fuckin' songs?!?!?!

Let's hope Marvel get's the message. Stick to the comic book as much as possible and the movie will be awesome. Don't be corny, cheap, or act like the fans won't notice when you fuck up.

Now let's hope Captain America is as freakin' awesome as I imagine it will be...
