Apartment Hunt 08

Let the HUNT BEGIN!!!!!

I have to move out of here (the apartment I am currently sitting in) by May 4th. So, I need to find a place to move to pretty much right now.

Otherwise, college kids will snatch up whatever good one bedroom apartments there are before I can get my hands on an application.

Even though I've called around and seen two places so far, it's been tough. Finding a place with air conditioning, gas heat, decent laundry services, a dishwasher, AND good rent is going to be a struggle. I'll settle for no dishwasher and W/D as long as the laundry is nearby.

The place I looked at yesterday was cheap but SMALL. I threw it in the maybe pile. The one I looked at today in New Castle was quite promising. Big enough, gas heat, laundry across the way, a pool (that I'll probably never use), and very nice management. (I'll probably write an entry solely about the lady I met there who runs the place. Very awesome person.)

I've got about four or five other places to check this week and next, but they are all in Muncie. Not that I don't want to live in Muncie anymore, but it just makes more sense to get the place in New Castle since that is where my job will be. Oh, and since gas went up to 3.49!!!!!!!! Fuck that noise.

We'll see what these other places have to offer. As it stands now, if I get the job at WMDH I will be moving my happy ass to New Castle.
