Mr. Miyagi's Life Lessons

Jake, Molly and I are watching "The Karate Kid" and I got to thinking about the entry I made some time ago about Pat Morita and how his character has been a big inspiration to me.

So, here is a collection of Mr. Miyagi's best axioms from the Karate Kid series. (Most of these are from the first movie, notes will accompany those that are otherwise)

-"Fighting for defense only."
-"No such thing as bad student, only bad teacher."
-"Always look eye."
- "Wax on, Wax off."
-"You do karate 'yes' or you do karate 'no'. You do karate 'guess so', *WHICK*, just like grape."
-"Lies only become true if person choose to believe." (Part 2)
-"Never put passion before principle. Even if win, you lose."(Part 2)
-"BANZAI!!!"

My Personal Favorites
---

-"Balance is key. Balance good, everything good. Balance bad, better pack up, go home. Whole life have a balance, everything be better."

I like this quote because it's a universal idea. When everything in your life is going good, things are great; but you have to work hard to put things right so your life has balance.

-"Man who catch fly with chopstick... accomplish anything."

Speaks for itself.

-"Win or lose no matter; make good fight, earn respect."

Even if you lose, you still have honor in knowing you did your best.

-
"When life is out of balance, return to basic of life: breathing." (Part 2)

It's like meditation for noobs!

Ah... now go forth and live your life with new resolve Daniel-san!

BONUS QUOTE

"Man who stick penis in jar of peanut butter is fucking nuts."
