Looking Up

Yesterday things just looked bleak. I still didn't have a job and I just felt like a useless punk kid with a college degree.

But, after a simple phone call today, things are going WAY better.

I talked to my boss at WMDH and looked into getting more opportunities at the station. Not only did we discuss perhaps getting a raise soon and getting more part time on-air hours (I actually will be filling in this Monday night), but we also talked about temporarily taking over the Production Director position after our current guy leaves in a few weeks.

The GM and my boss both thought I'd be good for it since I have production background from college AND I'm willing to learn new stuff. Plus, if I do a good job, I'll have the chance to make myself a formal candidate when the interview process begins.

So, I'm caustiously optimistic about the whole thing. It means more experience, more money, and less feeling like a useless douchebag.
