Finding a Job Sucks

Are you wondering how hard it is to find a job in Muncie?

Well, on scale of 1-10 with 1 being incredibly hard and 10 a fucking cakewalk, I'm gonna rate this town a 3.

According to billboards, in-store signs, and websites there is no shortage of jobs. However, being even somewhat qualified is apparently very tough.

I think I've applied to 8 jobs so far and I need to turn in another application tomorrow and pick up another. Plus, I have a job interview tomorrow that I'm assuming will go bad because I just walked in a applied on a whim.

I told myself and my Dad that I'd have a job by next week. I really need to start making some more money.

The problem, I think, is that I can't work anywhere on weekends. I already have a part time job on Saturdays and Sundays, so those days are out of the question. However, since most places want you to be available on weekends, I imagine they simply overlook my application.

Yes, there is a job waiting for me somewhere. I'm speaking both metaphorically and literally.

Metaphorically, there is a decent job in the town that wants to hire a recent college grad with a degree in Telecommunications.

Literally, I know Brian would jump at the chance to get me back at Beefs. He did say there was always a place for me there. But, I've told all my friends that if I go back there that they have my express permission to hit my upside the head.

The problem is, work is seemingly hard to find. I figured once school and time wasn't as big a factor it would be fairly easy to get a job.

As the week rolls on and I haven't really heard back from anyone, I'm slowly turning back to that job at Beefs...

Of course, if I do decide to go back there, I guess I had better invest in a helment...
