So far, I have done almost nothing this weekend. It's a combination of being a bit depressed from getting fired and that this is the first weekend in a long time where I haven't had plans of any sort.
In a way, it's liberating. I another, more pathetic way, it shows just how lazy I can be.
I did watch Superman Returns for the first time yesterday. I was pretty disappointed. Hopefully the next one is much better.
I've finally gotten over my initial shock of Transformers. My final grade: Pretty Good. It was long enough so as to not be sad that it was too short, the plot was varied and moved at a good pace, the CGI was top notch, Shia LeBouf's character was done well, Megan Fox was hot, and (as I hoped) hearing Optimus Prime's voice was freaking sweet.
It was your above-average summer blockbuster that did it's job well and lived up to all the hype. I'm not even a big Transformers nerd and I still enjoyed it.
Harry Potter 5 comes out on Wednesday and I'm not sure if I'm gonna go see it. I've never liked any of the movies, so my gut is saying I should wait for the DVD.
On the job hunting front: I'm taking the weekend off and I'll start back up on Monday at full force. Hopefully Menards or Kohls will get back to me this week and say "Yeah, we'll interview you." That would be nice.
I'm also looking forward to Friday. That's the start of Cubs Weekend for Nate-O. Two days of Chicago goodness and (hopefully) two big Cubs wins at Wrigleyville.
So, that's what's been happening. Not very exciting, but let's hope that changes soon.
