Polar Bear Plunge '06: A Photo Safari

Hey active volcanoes,

Today was the 2006 Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics of Indiana. I told my Dad I would be a "plunger" after he and my brother did it last year...

I was regretting it up until I actually jumped into the dang frezzing water. So, since I had my digital camera on hand, I figured it was time for another PHOTO SAFARI!

Come along on this "journey in pictures!"

============================================

This is me when we first got registered. The pullover wasn't enough since there was some wicked breeze coming off the Eagle Creek Reservoir. We figured it was about 40 degrees with a wind chill around 34.

From left to right: K.J., Allie, Shane, Me, My Dad, My brother Phil, and my brother Jeremiah.

-------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah... we had to huddle close for warmth.

------------------------------------------------------

Phil got to be one of the torch bearers for the opening ceremony! It was pretty badass.

-----------------------------------------------------------------

My sister was in a pretty bad posistion, but I was able to pick myself out of the mess. Enter a little MS Paint for those of you who can't see me.

---------------------------------------------------

The aftermath of the plunge. It was hella cold. But, for some reason, I had a damn smile on my face.

------------------------------------------------------

For the second year in a row, my brother won the "Most Money Raised by an Individual."

---------------------------------------------------------

This was the door prize I won at the afterparty. I think I'll call him "Barry."

===========================================

So there you have it folks. Now I'm going to go have a cup of hot chocolate... burrr....

too freaking cute!!! I think you should do more of these.....i think it would be fun to do a "guess where i am at Ball State?" and you could have a prize for the people who have the most right answers! That would be super fun....hey maybe i will do that b/c i get easily amused by things of that sort!

Well anyway...tell ur bro i said congrats on the award and good job to you too, I love the little door prize! Its way adorable!
