A Time to Vent

After almost a month of officially living in my new apartment, I must say it's great. It's spacious, has access to U-Verse (which is AWESOME), and there aren't many college kids.

However, as awesome as the apartment itself is... the neighbors are slowly beginning to piss me off. Specifically the people next door and upstairs.

Ok, the people next door aren't really that bad. I only have one real complaint... thier alarm clock. They have one of those alarms that once it goes off, it doesn't stop. AND it's loud as hell. I can hear it clearly through the wall into my bedroom. This morning, I was half-tempted to bang on the wall and yell obscenities until my throat exploded.

But, I didn't.

Instead, I ate my bowl of Apple Jacks and went to work.

That doesn't happen very often, so I can live with it. The people upstairs, on the other hand, are really getting on my nerves.

I live on the ground floor. This has several advantages like NOT climbing stairs, and being slightly underground and near our pond keeps the apartment cool so I don't have to run the A/C very much unless it gets uber hot outside. It's also the first time I've lived on the ground floor in an apartment complex, but I've also lived on the second floor with people above me... so this isn't all together new to me.

Problem is... I think a family of rhinoceroses moved in upstairs because they are so freakin' heavy footed... I almost think someone is in MY apartment every time they go to take a walk.

Jesus... sometimes I think I'll grab a tranquilizer gun and go on safari upstairs for wild game.

Oh, and on a completely unrelated note, my damn rear-view mirror fell off the windshield thanks to the 87 degree weather we had this weekend.

FAIL

At least we're less than a month from my birthday...
