Before I get into my hateful rant, there was an earthquake around 5:40 AM this morning. At first, I thought it was just a truck rumbling by on Oakwood or my stomach growling. After I realized it wasn't that, I shot out of bed and ran into the living room. Molly met me half way and we proceeded to wake up Jake to see if he had felt it. (He didn't, but I think Jake could sleep through a nuclear explosion if necessary)
After those fun times, I go into work. Now it's about 11:30 and we've been getting calls about gas prices going up. Of course they're going up, I think to myself, they've been going up since forever. But the prices didn't just go up a few cents...
The prices shot up 75 cents!!!
Holy fuck... this is turning out to be one bitch of a Friday.
Why are the oil companies such douchebags? Why can't the government step in a freeze gas prices until something can be done about the economy? Why aren't cars being produced that don't run on gas?
These are just a few of the questions I'm sure EVERYONE is asking in one form or another.
Thankfully I got my promotion, otherwise I'd be even more fucked. I'm just counting down the days to November now... the current executive administration is fucking up SO bad that any change in a different direction (and I mean Obama or Clinton) would probably start changing things automatically.
Fuck you Mr. President and fuck all your douchebag friends in the oil business.

I guess the 70 cent increase was some sort of prank... but I still hate the oil companies and the president.
