Normally, I would be content with this just being a Friday. Fridays will be even better starting next week when Flawless Victory starts up again. That will rock some socks for sure.
This day, however, is particularly interesting because David Letterman will return to Ball State for the first time in a billion years.
Yesterday, I would have considered to day more exciting, but I changed it to interesting because it's raining outside.
As much as I'd like to attend the dedication, the deciding factor will be the weather. I hate the rain. As a matter of fact, I hate any weather pattern that isn't a nice, sunny 70 degree day with a dewpoint hovering around 52 degrees and maybe a nice breeze. Anything close to that is tolerable. But rain, snow, sleet, hail, thunderstorms, blizzards, hurricanes, plagues of locusts, tornadoes, floods, etc... count me out.
I'd rather spend my Friday sitting around my apartment. I'd use this time for reflection, relaxation, and meditation... ok fine, I'd just be lazy.
On the other hand, Letterman may NEVER come back to Muncie. So this is a pretty big day, especially for a TCOM student like me.
At the moment, I'm on the fence. So we'll see what happens.
Honorable Mentions

-Dave Letterman: Of course you'll never read this, but you're awesome.
-Smalls: Have fun gettin' inked.
-Me: Still awesome after all these years.

PS: I'm making the blog public again 'cause I'm tired of logging in to read my own crap.
5:00pm UPDATE
I went to the dedication and it was very well done. The rain wasn't much of a factor with only minor spurts. (Thankfully it ended just in time because it's pourring down right now.)
Letterman was awesome. Not only was his speech funny but he also commented that Jo Ann Gora (our Univeristy President) has "tremendous legs." He also mocked the rain saying, "Screw the weather."
His speech culminated with his Top Ten Reasons Why It's Great To Have A Building Named For You.
I'm glad I went.
