Today is the beginning of my long-awaited return to Chicago where I hope to see the Cubs stomp a mudhole in the collective ass of the NL Central leading Milwaukee Brewers. Two days of pure Wrigleyville goodness.
Ahh... I can't wait.
It will be a welcome retreat from the half-assed job hunt I've been on since I quit/got fired from Beefs. It's been nice not having to go into that place anymore, but I miss the people and I haven't gotten any calls regarding my turned in applications to other places.
So I was a bit surprised when I went in to get my last paycheck today. Brian told me that Rob wanted to discuss with me whether or not I was really interested in leaving Beefs. I let Brian know I'd be in on Monday afternoon to talk to Rob.
This is the opportunity I've been waiting for. A chance to demand more respect for the kitchen staff AND a raise if I'm to continue being Shift Leader. If Rob isn't down for giving me either one, or both, I'm gone for good. Plus, I'm going to express my extreme dissatisfactio for being taken off the schedule even though I put in a legitimate notice that I was ending my tenure.
I will say something along the lines of "How dare you accuse me of wanting to steal anything from this place. That makes me sick."
So I'm ready to lay-in to that guy come Monday. It oughta be pretty good.
