Injuries

I closed at work last night. Not ever a fun experience to be sure, but last night was pretty miserable from a new perspective. As I was going to clock-out, I told Rachel (the very cute and cool-as-hell blonde) that I had gotten more injuries in that single evening then in my five months of employment at Beefs.

After some further thought, I figured I was probably exaggerating. However, the lingering effects of last night would tend to agree with my exaggeration.

I didn't cut myself this time, but I did get burned.

There were the standard tiny grease burns and knuckle singes you almost always get when working at the grill of fryers. Then I got two more big ones when I was cleaning the grill. Apparently I didn't clear all the grease off the grill and as I was scrubbing, two big drops of grease landed on my right arm. One at the base of my thumb and the other on my upper wrist.

At first, they just felt like the standard burns and I pressed on without thinking more about it. However, as I was finishing, the burn on my wrist really started to hurt.

Long story short: I have a pretty nasty scar on my wrist and a blister on my thumb.

Ouch.
